Currently, Vietnam is one of the countries with an alarming amount of untreated plastic waste. According to the ranking, Vietnam ranks 4th in the list of 10 countries with the largest amount of plastic waste in the world. This raises concerns about the safety of not only the natural habitat but also our own health.
𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐍𝐎𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 is a contest aiming at finding initiatives to reduce plastic waste under the framework of the “Local Solutions for Plastic Pollution” (LSPP) project, organized by the Centre for Supporting Green Development (GreenHub) in collaboration with the Faculty of Communication and External Culture – Diplomatic Academy.
Therefore, 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐍𝐎𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 was born with the aim of finding businesses with innovative and sustainable plastic waste reduction initiatives, thereby supporting the selected model to promote development and speed up business. By implementing the initiatives, the contest also contributes to promoting the circular economy with the goal of extending the product life cycle and eliminating the negative impact on the environment.
Enterprises, companies, organizations, and households… (must have a legal entity and have production and business activities) meet at least one of the following criteria:
The initiative must be implemented in Hanoi, Da Nang, Hoi An (Quang Nam), Can Gio (Ho Chi Minh City).
Registration Round (8/7 – 22/7)
Enterprises submit the application form to participate in the contest according to the form from the organizers and submit it no later than 23:59 PM on July 22, 2022.
Training Round (22/7 – 26/8)
Enterprises can participate in on-demand training (training content is selected based on the application form).
Complete support proposal 6/8 – 20/8.
Enterprises complete the full and detailed project according to the form of the organizers by 23:59′ on 20/8 at the latest. The organizers will base on this project to select the 5 best teams to enter the final round on 26/8.
Final Round (31/8)
The top 5 teams present their projects on the final night to choose the prize rankings (First, Second, Third).
01 First Prize: 10,000 USD
01 Second Prize: 5,000 USD
01 Third Prize: 2,000 USD
In addition, the competition team is connected with leading experts in the fields of technology, communication, business, circular economy, and environmental protection; is accompanied and supported by the contest organizer in the process of developing product and service ideas. Top 3 winning teams will receive a total of 17,000 USD to directly implement the business project and receive a training support package/accompaniment with experts and the organizer accompanying the implementation of the project plan.
