On March 31 2022 afternoon, Hoan Kiem District People’s Committee held a conference to summarize “Building green schools – For a green Hanoi” 2021 Program. After nearly a year of implementation, the “Building green schools” – For a green Hanoi” 2021 Program has attracted 100% of schools in the district to participate with more than 21,000 students from Kindergarten to Secondary School.
The Program integrates environmental protection contents under the topics: Clean Air, Energy, Waste, Water & Green Space both into teaching core subjects and extracurricular activities. It not only provides teachers and students useful knowledge about environmental protection according to each topic group but also promotes the actions of teachers and students to actively participate in environmental protection activities in the local and families such as sorting waste, reducing plastic waste, cleaning the place, the house, planting trees on the balcony…, creating a green and clean living space.
In the closing ceremony, Hoan Kiem District People’s Committee awarded medals to organizations accompanying in the process of implementing the program and awarded certificates to students and schools for their environmental protection activities.
GreenHub is honored to be one of the organizations accompanying Hoan Kiem District People’s Committee in this program, especially in supporting activity implementation on the content of sorting and reducing plastic waste in schools.
GreenHub believes that the success of “Building Green schools – For a Green Hanoi” Program in Hoan Kiem district will be a strong force, promoting environmental education activities in other districts in the future, contributing to building a green and sustainable Hanoi.
